To help train the next generation of mathematicians, scientists, and engineers, the Vermont-NASA EPSCoR program offers Graduate Research Fellowships and Postdoctoral Research Fellowships. Fellows provide research support on individual Vermont-NASA EPSCoR research projects and are mentored by the project's Principal Investigator. Since the University of Vermont is the only comprehensive higher education institution in the State offering graduate degrees in mathematics, science, and engineering, Graduate Research Fellowship applicants should be enrolled in or entering an appropriate graduate program at UVM. In the case of Postdoctoral Fellows, there is no restriction to a UVM-related research project. However, preference will be given to recent recipients of a Ph.D.
Graduate Research Fellowships include an academic year stipend, summer salary, and UVM graduate tuition remission. The salaries for Postdoctoral Research fellows are competitive. Appointments are normally made for one year, but, subject to funding, extensions are possible.
Students and recent doctoral recipients interested in these Fellowships should see the Research Project section of this website and contact the Principal Investigator of an appropriate project. Applicants may also contact the Vermont-EPSCoR Project Director directly.
