Undergraduate Research Endeavors Competitive Awards

URECA is a program designed to stimulate undergraduate research with faculty mentoring. This student-facility research program is designed, under the guidance of faculty mentors, to stimulate student research; to incorporate research experience more fully into undergraduate education; and to provide incentives for students and faculty who engage in meaningful research collaboration the proposals below were funded through NASA-VT Space Grant Consortium.

2009 -2010 URECA! Student Researchers:
NASA-Vermont Space Grant Consortium (VSGC) is supporting 3 2009
Undergraduate Research Endeavors Competitive Awards (URECA! Program)
student researchers.
Each will be receive $3000 from VSGC and $1000 from UVM.

Resident of Mondrose, Colorado
 Cameron attended NASA Marshall Space Flight Center, 
June-Aug 2009 that involves support operations and data analysis for the Mars Exploration Rovers Project, including geologic analysis of rocks, Martian atmospheric monitoring , and tactical planning within the Science Operations Working Group.

CRITERIA TO QUALIFY:
   ●  Research topic must be NASA related
   ●  U.S. Citizen
          * Funding cannot be used to: 1. buy general purpose equipment (ie: computer)
                                                            2. foreign travel (including Canada)

 

 



Funded by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), the Vermont Space Grant Consortium (VSGC) is one of a network of 52 university-based Space Grant Consortia representing every state, Puerto Rico, and the District of Columbia. Through this national network, over 963 affiliate organizations are funded to support science and engineering students, to provide public service, and to offer K-12 science education programs.
